How To Get Rid Of Toxic Faith

Wednesday, July 29, 2009

by Bo Sanchez

Is your Faith Toxic?

Instead of healing, it kills.

Instead of blessing, it harms.

Instead of giving, it robs.

No, I’m not talking about your Brand of Religion. You could be Catholic, Born-Again, Muslim, Buddhist, or Hindu. It doesn’t matter. In each of these, you could have Toxic Faith.
It’s not the Brand of Religion, but the poisonous way you carry out your religion. It poisons you and it poisons others around you.

One of the clear signs that it’s Toxic Faith is that it fuels our hidden addictions.

I know of a significant number of religious people who are addicted to sex, alcohol, food, anger, materialism, and obviously, to religion itself.

In recent years, sex addiction has become a huge problem among religious leaders. I should know. As a 13-year-old boy, I was molested by a religious leader.

And in the process, I became a porn addict.

I wanted to run away from the pain within. I didn’t want to face my internal problems. So I sought solace in my religious activities. And in pornography.

This is my story... [click here to continue reading the article]

What Are You Leaving In People?

Tuesday, July 28, 2009

by Joel Osteen

Not long ago, I was reading about a young boy who grew up in Ghana, West Africa in extreme poverty. At sixteen years old, he decided to leave home, determined to find some way to help improve his village and better his people.

Seven years later, he returned and the people were so excited. They knew about his mission. They knew he had set out to help them. When they saw him coming down the road, the people ran out to meet him. They were certain that he had brought wealth, riches, and abundance. "Show us what you've brought," the people said. Without saying a word, the young man reached into his pocket and pulled out three tiny seeds.

The people looked confused. They said, "Is this all you've brought us? You've been gone seven years and this is it?" The young man just simply planted those seeds in the ground. Not long after that, Ghana had its first cocoa plants. Those plants grew and multiplied until today, many years later; cocoa is one of the major products of Ghana.

That young man left a mark on his people that cannot be erased. How did he do it? By planting three simple seeds.

Friend, you and I have the same opportunity today. When you live your life planting seeds in others, looking for ways to improve them, imparting what you know–your skills, wisdom, love, kindness, encouragement–you are making an eternal difference. The person you impacted will impact another person, and that person, another, and so on.

Before long, your life will be influencing thousands of people even long after you’ve gone simply because you took time to invest in others.

I like what Lou Holtz, the famous football coach said, "When I die my accomplishments will eventually be forgotten. But what I've invested in my players will continue to live on."

The best legacy is not what we leave for people. It's what we leave in people. What are you leaving in people today?

Keep His Word in Your Mind and in Your Mouth

Saturday, July 25, 2009

by Victoria Osteen

Have you ever felt overwhelmed by something you were facing?

Maybe it was something you prepared for in the natural. You prayed and believed God, but at the same time, you felt very afraid?

The Bible tells us about a man named Joshua. Joshua had taken over as the leader of God's people after Moses died. He was the one called to bring them into the Promised Land. Joshua had served under Moses for many years and saw all the amazing miracles God performed through Moses. Joshua had great faith in God and was also very skilled in the natural. He knew how to lead, and he knew how to fight the enemy.

But at the same time, as Joshua faced the Promised Land, he was fearful. He had everything in the world going for him, and yet, he was very afraid. And do you know what God said to him?

In Joshua 1:8 He basically says, "Joshua, be bold and be strong, I am with you. If you want to succeed, there's one thing you have to do–you can't let the Book of the Law depart from your mouth. You have to meditate on it day and night and be careful to observe every instruction I give you. Then you will be prosperous and have good success."

I believe God is still saying to us what He said to Joshua. We can be bold and strong in the Lord no matter what we are facing. If you follow His instructions and meditate on and speak His Word, then just like Joshua, God will pour out His blessing upon you, and you'll be prosperous and successful and enter your Promised Land.

This Book of the Law shall not depart out of your mouth, but you shall meditate on it day and night, that you may observe and do according to all that is written in it. For then you shall make your way prosperous, and then you shall deal wisely and have good success (Joshua 1:8, AMP)

No Worries For You My Friend

Wednesday, July 22, 2009

by Joel Osteen

There's a scripture in Matthew 6 that tells us not to worry about anything at all. We shouldn't worry about what we will eat, what we will wear, or where we will live. It goes on to say that we shouldn't even worry about tomorrow because God loves us, and He will take care of every concern that we have.

Last week, Victoria and I were in Australia with our ministry team, and they have a saying that I think we should use more here in the United States. Everywhere I went, people were saying, "No worries" with a sunny disposition.

One day, I was out eating at a buffet and turned around too quickly and dropped my plate on the floor. I was so embarrassed, and I made a big mess, but the waiter quickly walked over just as cheerful as he could be and said, "No worries!"

Immediately, I felt at ease. If he wasn't going to worry about it, then I wasn't either. And I'm sure he wasn't thinking of it this way; but when he said "no worries", it was as if he was declaring that not only was he not going to worry, but there would be no worries about the situation at all from anyone at all.

It was as if he were holding up a stop sign to worry and saying, "Worry, you're not allowed in this situation. No one is going to fret over this, no one is going to be upset over this, and no one is going to be anxious over this situation. We are going to have peace."

What situations in your life do you need to declare "no worries" over? It's time to put up the "stop sign" to worry because all worry does is steal your peace and distract you from God's best. Are you having a struggle in a relationship today? No worries! God is the restorer.

Are you having challenges with your job, fearful about layoffs? No worries! When you are faithful with the little, God will make you ruler over much. He is the One who brings promotion. Do you need a place to live or a better car to drive? No worries! God promises to supply all your needs according to His riches in glory. He provides shelter for the birds of the air, and He will take care of you!

Make the decision today to close the door on worry so you can set your mind on the good things that God has in store for your future!

God Wants You to Go Further

Monday, July 20, 2009

by Joel Osteen

The other day I was thinking about a scene from the movie, "The Pursuit of Happyness." The movie is based on a true story about a homeless father raising his small son on the streets. One day, they were at a public basketball court shooting hoops.

As they were playing, he said to his son, "I don't want you to stay out here and play all day long because you'll probably just be an average player. After all, that's all I was. You're usually just as good as your dad. We have the same genes. So I don't want you to waste a lot of time every day thinking that you'll ever really be good."

You could see that those words took the wind out of the sails of the little boy. He just dropped his ball and walked away feeling down and dejected. After a moment, the father felt convicted about what he had just said. He walked straight over to his son, got down on one knee, looked him in the eyes, and said, "Listen here son, don't you ever let anyone tell you that you can't be something great–not even me."

It's interesting that when people can't do something, oftentimes, they try to put their limitations on others. They have the attitude, "That's as high as I went, so that's probably as high as you'll go." But that's not God's attitude. God wants you to go further. He wants you to rise higher. He sees you excelling in every area. Don't let anyone convince you that you cannot accomplish your God–given dreams. Don't let anyone's negative words stop you from moving forward.

Other people may not believe in you, but God believes in you. And when it's all said and done, He is the one who put the promise in you. He is the great architect of the universe! Before you were born, God laid out a plan for your life. He carefully studied what you would need. He didn't just randomly put something inside of you. He put in you exactly what you need to live a victorious life!

Don't ever let anyone convince you that you're not enough, you're not talented enough, or that you don't have what it takes because God has equipped you to go further and rise higher than you've ever dreamed!

Accessing the Strength Within

by Victoria Osteen

The Bible talks about joy and calls it "unspeakable and full of glory." You know what that says to me? It says that joy is more than just a feeling. It's more than just being happy. Joy is a supernatural force on the inside of you.

Joy is a deep abiding strength. It's constantly there. It is a fruit, or offspring, of the Holy Spirit. It doesn’t come from your circumstances. The world can't give it to you, and the world can't take it away!

So how do you "get" joy today? The good news is that when you make Jesus your Lord and Savior, the Bible says that the Spirit of God makes His home inside of you. And if the Holy Spirit is on the inside of you, than so is joy! As believers, we already have joy! But we have to stir up what God has placed within us. We have to choose to access that joy by putting our trust in Almighty God.

It's like receiving a present. Someone can give you the most wonderful gift wrapped in the most beautiful paper with a gorgeous bow. And you can have that present sitting on your table, admiring how nice it looks. You can be so thankful for that gift and appreciate that person so much.

Yes, that present is in your possession; it's yours, but until you open it and take it out of the box, you won't be able to experience that gift and all of its true benefits! In the same way, you have to take that step of faith to access what God has given you by His Spirit.

Today, open your heart and receive the joy God has for you. Focus on the fact that He's got you in the palm of His hand. Trust that He is working all things out for your good. Dwell on the truth that if God is on your side, there's no enemy that can stand against you! As you begin to meditate on His promises found in the Word of God, faith will come. Hope will come. It will be easier for you to cast your cares on Him because you trust Him.

Before you know it, you'll feel that supernatural joy welling up in your heart and giving you strength! You'll have an attitude that says, "I don't know why I'm in this difficult situation. I don't know what's going to happen. I just have faith! I don't why, but I just believe God's going to get me out this!"

Other people will wonder why you have a smile on your face and a spring in your step, but you'll know it's because His joy is giving you the strength you need to push past the challenges of life so you can grab hold of the victory that God has in store for you!

God Sees You as a Saint

by Victoria Osteen

Everywhere I go, I encounter so many people who have a misconception that God is always mad at them. When things don´t go well, the first thing they say is, "Well, God, You did it to me again!"

It´s as if they think God is just waiting for them to do something wrong so He can punish them and make their lives difficult. Let me assure you right now: that is the farthest thing from the truth! God is not mad at you; He is madly in love with you!

It doesn´t matter how many times you´ve made a mistake; it doesn´t matter how many times you´ve blown it. God is always ready to receive you with open, loving arms.

In fact, He´s already forgiven you for anything you´ve done in the past and anything you will do in the future. All you must do is accept it.

Imagine God in front of you right now with His arms outstretched, ready to welcome you. Don´t run away from Him; run toward Him. Simply take a step of faith and renounce your old ways so you can embrace His love and forgiveness.

Once you have received Jesus as your Lord and Savior, the Bible says God takes your sin and casts it as far as the East is from the West! He doesn´t see you as a sinner anymore; He sees you as His saint, His representative. He sees you cleansed by the blood of Jesus.

But it´s up to you to take hold of this by faith and allow the truth to change your thinking. The enemy doesn´t want you to see yourself as righteous; he wants you to see yourself as a sinner. He wants you to be down and defeated. He wants you to get up every day and think this is a hard life.

Don´t believe those lies because Jesus said, "I have come to give you life and life more abundantly."

God is not in the business of condemning people; He´s in the business of improving and loving people. We have to be willing to see ourselves the way God sees us and dwell on His righteousness in order to be all that God has called us to be.

God is not in the business of condemning people; He´s in the business of improving and loving people. We have to be willing to see ourselves the way God sees us and dwell on His righteousness in order to be all that God has called us to be.

...to those who are sanctified in Christ Jesus, called to be saints...grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.(I Corinthians 1:2-3, NKJ).

Give Life to Your Faith

TODAY´S SCRIPTURE

"…faith without works is dead" -James 2:20, NKJ

TODAY´S WORD from Joel and Victoria

Are you putting action behind your faith today? If we aren’t doing something that shows that we believe God, the Bible says that our faith is dead. Dead faith won’t accomplish anything. We have to give life to our faith by putting actions behind it.

And, it doesn’t have to be anything big, just something that shows your faith in God. For example, I know people who are down and discouraged. They pray, “God, please. Get me out of this discouragement. God, give me my joy back. God, give me a new beginning.” And yes, prayer is important, but it’s only part of the process.

What really causes God to act is when you do something about it—you get back up, dust yourself off, and say, “You know what? I’m not going to stay down. This is the day the Lord has made! I am going to be happy and have a great day.” That’s putting action behind your faith.

I encourage you today to let your actions give life to your faith. Show the world that you are trusting God’s Word. As you do, you’ll give life to your faith, and you’ll step into new levels of His victory and blessing in every area of your life!

A PRAYER FOR TODAY

Father God, thank You for Your Word that builds faith in my heart and refreshes my soul. I choose to put action behind my faith today. I choose to give life to my faith so that You can accomplish Your will in me. In Jesus’ Name. Amen.

Encourage Yourself in the Lord

Monday, July 13, 2009

by Joel Osteen

One of the battles that everyone faces at some time or another is the battle of discouragement. Our dreams don't always happen on our timetable. We go through disappointments and adversities. With so much coming against us, it can be easy to loose enthusiasm and zeal for life. It's good to have family and friends who encourage you. It's good to have a coach, a teacher, or a pastor to cheer you on.

But one thing I've learned is that other people cannot keep us encouraged. They may give us a boost. They may help us from time to time. But if you're really going to live in victory, that encouragement has to come from the inside. You've got to learn to encourage yourself.

When times get tough and things aren't going your way and you feel like giving up on your dreams, deep down in your spirit there has to be a resolve, strength on the inside that says, "I refuse to settle where I am. I know God has a great plan for my life, and I'm going to keep pressing forward to become everything that He's created me to be."

In the Bible, that's what David had to do. At one point, he had suffered a major setback. It was one of the most difficult times of his life. His city had been destroyed, his family was kidnapped, and finally his own men turned against him. It looked like an impossible situation. David could have easily just given up and faded off into the sunset, defeated and depressed.

But the scripture says in I Samuel 3:6, "David encouraged himself in the Lord his God." See, David wasn't depending on his family, his friends, or his colleagues to get him through. He knew how to draw strength and encouragement from within. How did he do it?

He began to replay the victories that God gave him in the past. He remembered how God chose him from His other brothers when he was just a shepherd boy. He remembered how he killed a lion and a bear with his bare hands. He remembered how God helped him defeat Goliath and how He protected him when King Saul was trying to kill him.

As David rehearsed the goodness and faithfulness of God, strength began to fill his heart. He got a new vision of victory. As he thanked God for all that He had done, David went from being depressed and defeated to rising up with that warrior mentality!

Friend, sometimes when you need it the most, the people you're counting on to cheer you up, unfortunately, won't be there for you. That friend that normally calls is out of town. Your spouse is having a tough month. Your co–workers, your parents, they're preoccupied with their own challenges. But when you learn to dig down deep and encourage yourself in the Lord, there is real freedom.

Go the Extra Mile

Sunday, July 12, 2009

TODAY'S SCRIPTURE

"And whoever compels you to go one mile, go with him two" (Matthew 5:41, NKJ)

TODAY'S WORD from Joel and Victoria

Are you a person of excellence? Do you do more than what´s expected, or do you look for the easy way out? Do you just do the minimum requirement, or do you go the extra mile?

Back in Bible days, by law, Roman soldiers could require a person to carry their armor for one mile. After that mile, they would have to get somebody else to do it. But in this verse, Jesus is saying to go above and beyond the call of duty. Do more than expected. Carry the armor two miles. And that´s the attitude we should have today.

We are called to be people of excellence. We are called to go above and beyond. That´s the attitude God expects, and that´s the attitude God rewards. The world should look at the people of God and think, "Wow. They are people of integrity. People who outshine the rest. I want what they have."

I encourage you today to look for ways to go the extra mile. Let your actions bring glory to God and open the door for His blessing in every area of your life.

A PRAYER FOR TODAY

Heavenly Father, today I choose an attitude of excellence. I want my life to bring You all the glory. Help me find creative ways to be a blessing to those around me. In Jesus´ Name. Amen.

What Is Following You?

Saturday, July 11, 2009

TODAY´S SCRIPTURE

"Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life; and I will dwell in the house of the LORD forever" (Psalm 23:6, NKJ)

TODAY´S WORD from Joel and Victoria

As a believer in Jesus, did you know that goodness and mercy are following you? God´s grace and favor are chasing you down! But if you live with a cloud of condemnation over you, if you surround yourself with negativity, then you are putting a barrier between yourself and the blessings of God.

So many believers today miss out on what God has in store for them because they live like they´ve got a dark cloud over their heads. They´re always talking doom and gloom, living in condemnation. But when you open your heart to receive what God has for you, that cloud is lifted and all that´s left is His goodness and mercy!

Instead of living in guilt and shame, God desires that you walk in His love and forgiveness. Make the decision today to let go of condemnation, let go of the past through forgiveness, let go of self–defeating behaviors, and embrace His goodness and mercy! Let His favor surround you like a shield so you can live the life of victory He has in store for you!

A PRAYER FOR TODAY

Father in heaven, I humbly come to You today asking that You remove anything in my heart that would keep me from You. Give me a heart of forgiveness so that I can move forward into all You have for me. In Jesus´ Name. Amen.

The Wind of God is Blowing in Your Direction

Friday, July 10, 2009

by Joel Osteen

The other day, I was out taking a run. For about the first quarter of a mile, the wind was blowing strongly against me at about twenty to twenty-five miles per hour. I felt like I was running uphill, and it was taking all of my energy.

The path I run is a big square, so finally, I was able to turn. But I knew that coming back that last mile, the wind was going to be blowing in my face again—I was starting to dread it.

However, when I made that final turn onto the home stretch, I was pleasantly surprised. The winds had changed direction. No longer were they blowing against me, they were blowing with me. It was a night and day difference! I could feel those winds propelling me forward.

Today, you may be feeling like there are all kinds of forces coming against you. But I believe those forces, those winds that have been trying to hold you back, are about to change in your direction. I believe that you are going to have times when you can feel God breathing His favor, grace, and mercy upon you.

No matter what you may be facing right now, no matter how difficult things may seem, remember, God is in control of the winds. Just a simple shift can make a huge difference.

Those same winds that are trying to defeat you, God can cause to change direction and be the very winds that propel you into the destiny He has in store for you!

Crowned With Goodness

TODAY'S SCRIPTURE

"You crown the year with Your bounty and goodness…" (Psalm 65:11, AMP)

TODAY'S WORD from Joel and Victoria

Are you seeing the goodness of God overflowing in your life today? If you´ll look with your eyes of faith, you´ll see that He´s already crowned your year with His goodness. In other words, you have been especially chosen; you are marked to receive His goodness.

And when God crowns you with His goodness, it doesn´t matter what´s going on around you. It doesn´t matter what´s happening in the economy, in the job market, or the housing market. God´s crown of favor and blessing cannot be moved. You are the head and not the tail; above only and not beneath.

Are you ready to receive His crown today? Are you ready to walk in the authority you´ve already been given? When you choose to receive and acknowledge His blessings by faith, you open the door for His bounty, His supernatural blessing to overwhelm you in every area of your life!

A PRAYER FOR TODAY

Heavenly Father, thank You for choosing me and crowning me with Your favor and blessing. I open my heart in faith to You to receive every spiritual blessing You have for me. In Jesus´ Name. Amen.

It's Never Too Late to Be Free

Monday, July 6, 2009

by Joel Osteen

Not long ago, a man was telling me about how he felt as if he had wasted the first forty years of his life. He had come from a good family. He was bright and had all kinds of opportunity in front of him, but he ended up a cocaine addict. He told me, "Joel, I don't even really remember the first part of my life. I was so high and so messed up. I ruined my marriage. I blew my education."

At one point, he thought his life was over, but today things are different. Now he's in his early fifties, his family is back together, and he has a good job. In fact, he volunteers for us every weekend. He said, "I never dreamed God would give me another chance. I never dreamed I could be this fulfilled."

As we approach the holiday weekend, a time when we celebrate our freedom in America, I want to remind you that no matter where you are in life or what has happened in your past, it's never too late for God to set you free from any bondage that may be holding you back. It's never too late for Him to turn things around. It's never too late to break that addiction; never too late to have good relationships; never too late to fulfill your dreams.

The scripture says that as believers in Jesus, God is always at work in us. But it's also up to us to "work out" our salvation. In other words, we have to take steps of faith to work with God in the process of our freedom. We work out what He works in. Keep believing, keep hoping, keep praying, keep attending church, keep forgiving, keep declaring His Word over your life. The more you take steps toward your spiritual development, the more of His strength and power you'll see at work in your life.

If you feel like you've wasted years or lost opportunities, if you feel like there's something holding you back, now is the time to experience the true freedom that Jesus came to give. Open your heart to Him in faith and ask Him to show you the path toward victory.

Put your hope and trust in Him. Believe that He will turn things around for your good and watch His freedom come to every area of your life!

Why Miracles Happen Everyday

Saturday, July 4, 2009

by Joel Osteen

Not long ago, I heard a story about a woman who had been diagnosed with ovarian cancer. She was married with two children and was very afraid. She was doing her best to stay positive and hopeful, but it was very difficult. The doctors gave her a 15% chance of surviving. She continued to pray and believe God, and she had good friends and family supporting her.

One day, a friend gave her a small, gray rock that had the words, "Expect a Miracle" written on it. When she received that rock, something leaped on the inside of her. As she looked at it, she could feel her faith being ignited. She knew right at that moment that the message was directly for her. She believed she was going to get well.

From that day forward, the woman carried that simple, little rock with her everywhere she went. All through the day she had it in her pocket or in her purse, and at night she would put it on her beside table.

The rock itself wasn´t anything special, but it served as a reminder that God was working behind the scenes to restore her health. It helped her to keep her faith focused on God and His miracle–working power in her life.

Over time, the woman went through chemotherapy and several major surgeries. After months of fighting the good fight of faith, it was time to determine if the treatment had helped. The doctors were going to biopsy her in 100 different places in her body where they thought the cancer could have spread. They already told her not to get her hopes up since there was little to no chance that she would be completely cancer free, but she went into surgery with an attitude of faith and her little rock right by her side. When she woke up, she saw a beautiful older woman dressed in a very bright, white dress standing next to her bed. She assumed the older woman was a nurse. The older woman said in a very kind voice, "Are you the lady who´s expecting a miracle?"

A bit groggy from the surgery, the woman thought, "How does this lady know anything about me?" She said, "Yes, I am." The older woman handed her a small plaque that said, "Miracles Happen Every Day."

When the woman received the plaque, she felt God´s presence like never before. She felt warmness and a tingling flowing throughout her body. The next thing she remembered was waking up and seeing her husband standing over her with a big smile. He said, "Honey, the results are in. The doctors did not find any cancer in your body."

That woman never found out who the older woman in the bright, white dress was, but she still has the plaque on her wall at home, "Miracles Happen Every Day."

I encourage you today, no matter what you may be facing, no matter what anyone else says; choose to believe what God says. Expect a miracle. Let your actions show that your faith is in God because with God all things are possible. Miracles happen every day!

Celebrate Your Freedom

Friday, July 3, 2009

TODAY'S SCRIPTURE

"You have been set free from sin…" -(Romans 6:18, NIV)

TODAY'S WORD from Joel and Victoria

This weekend, we celebrate Independence Day in America. July 4, 1776 was the day America declared independence from Britain, but the battle for freedom went on until 1783—seven years later. Even though the people declared their freedom in 1776, they had to stand and fight for many years before the British would accept and recognized the United States of America.

In the same way, we have to declare our freedom and determine to stand against the opposing forces in our lives. We have to declare our freedom from addiction, poverty, sickness, and lack. We have to stand and fight until we fully experience that freedom and peace that God has promised.

I love what the early colonists did once they signed the Declaration of Independence. They read it out loud in public. They published it in the newspaper. They spread the word. They continued to declare and celebrate even though they were in the midst of the battle.

Whatever battle you may be facing today, declare that you are free. Declare that you are an overcomer. Celebrate the victory that is on its way! As you stand strong and celebrate your freedom, you will experience His victory and true freedom all the days of your life!

A PRAYER FOR TODAY

Heavenly Father, thank You for setting me free in every area of my life. I declare today that nothing can hold me back. I declare that I am free from sickness, poverty, lack, and addiction. I declare that You have set me free and thank You for freedom in every area of my life. In Jesus’ Name. Amen.

Today 2nd of July 2009, thursday, is another fantastic day for me. I got another checque from my internet business. I am so glad about it. Imagine, all the hard work and smart work you did in your home based internet business, you will really harvest what you sow. As the Bible says, "a time to sow and a time to reap."

Let Your Light Shine

TODAY'S SCRIPTURE

"Let your light so shine before men that they may see your moral excellence and your praiseworthy, noble, and good deeds and recognize and honor and praise and glorify your Father Who is in heaven" (Matthew 5:16, AMP)

TODAY'S WORD from Joel and Victoria

Do the people around you see your light shining? Do they know you are a believer by your actions? Are you setting the bar in your office? Can people see your good works?

I know people who can quote half the Bible and pray two hours a day, but they have no influence or credibility because they’re sloppy in the workplace. They’re always late or wasting time. They’re not productive. They’re not efficient. No one will even listen to them.

I heard somebody say, “Your performance gives you a platform.” When you excel in what you do, that gets people’s attention. The way to gain respect, the way to gain influence is to develop your character and skills in such a way that people want what you have. They may not agree with what you believe, but when you are the best in your company, they can’t argue with that. You’ve earned their respect, not by your words, but by your spirit of excellence.

I encourage you today, don’t settle for mediocrity. You are a child of the Most High God. Make the decision today to let your light shine and bring Him glory in everything you do!

A PRAYER FOR TODAY

Heavenly Father, I choose to let my light shine so that I can bring glory to You. Help me to rise up higher; show me ways to set the standard. Let my life be a testimony of You. In Jesus’ Name. Amen.
