Wheels of Justice

Revelation 20:1-10
The Sixth Amendment of the U.S. Constitution guarantees that “the accused shall enjoy the right to a speedy and public trial.” But legal proceedings can take many months, if not years, to finally be resolved in court. When a trial is finally ended, those seeking justice rejoice with a sense of relief.
The Bible says rejoicing is heard in heaven when a sinner is saved (Luke 15:7), but there will no doubt be rejoicing for another reason: when justice is finally applied to Satan and he is confined to “the lake of fire and brimstone …forever and ever” (Revelation 20:10).
For thousands of years Satan has committed crimes against the person of God and His creation without suffering (as far as we know) any punishment for his deeds. But his crimes and character will be laid bare before the bar of God’s justice at the end of the coming Millennium, and he will be consigned to an eternal prison from which there is no escape.
Be assured that, though the wheels of God’s justice do not turn at a human pace, they turn nonetheless. All injustice will be set to right in due time.
God is not always a God of immediate justice, but He is a God of ultimate justice. -John Blanchard
