The Sixth Amendment of the U.S. Constitution guarantees that “the accused shall enjoy the right to a speedy and public trial.” But legal proceedings can take many months, if not years, to finally be resolved in court. When a trial is finally ended, those seeking justice rejoice with a sense of relief.

The Bible says rejoicing is heard in heaven when a sinner is saved (Luke 15:7), but there will no doubt be rejoicing for another reason: when justice is finally applied to Satan and he is confined to “the lake of fire and brimstone …forever and ever” (Revelation 20:10).

Will You Believe God?

Does this witness have a history of honesty? Of telling the truth? Of living a life above reproach?  Does the witness have anything to gain or lose by not telling the truth? If all indications point to honesty and integrity, the jury has no choice but to believe the witnesses’ words. The Judgment Seat

“For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ, that each one may receive the things done in the body, according to what he has done, whether good or bad.” – 2 Corinthians 5:10

Every week there seems to be a new “awards” program on television, honoring celebrities, actors, or personalities in the entertainment world. Every sporting event leads to some kind of championship in which trophies are awarded. Many executives receive bonuses at the end of the year, some of which have recently created disparaging headlines.

None of those rewards or honors has any eternal value; but the Bible talks about awards that are eternal, crowns to be given out at the Judgment Seat of Christ.

The apostle Paul discussed this in Romans 14, saying we should get along with our brothers and sisters and not condemn those who have different opinions on non-essential matters,
